Bangladesh Shelter
Campaign by Sher Khan Foundation (RCN 1199739)
The Sher Khan Foundation focusses its efforts in lifting people out of poverty in Bangladesh. One of our aims is to provide strategic help to those who need it most, aligned by the three pillars we stand by; Shelter, Health, and Education.

Story

I'm raising funds to build homes for two impoverished families in Bangladesh as part of the Sher Khan Foundations shelter campaign.

There are a total of six shack type dwellings within a particular village that are in dire need of rebuilding. As you can see from the pictures attached, two of the dwellings are in near collapse and are currently leaning against each other to keep themselves upright. Nearly all of the dwellings have makeshift walls constructed out of straw, of which all have damaged roofs offering little or no protection from the weather. The inside of one of the dwellings can be seen on the following YouTube link https://youtu.be/a1PwNeM8L1s.

The Sher Khan Foundation is aiming to replace these dwellings with newly brick built weather tight homes. With land constraints in mind, each home will consist of a multi-purpose room, and a kitchen/bathroom as an outhouse.

I'm hoping between friends and family, we can all pull together and contribute towards the construction of two of these homes. Please dig deep and donate generously.

Thank you, with love, Sofina.
