Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I’d like say thank you to those of you who have helped to keep the fundraising going during Covid. We have achieved quite a bit in the interim.  We raised enough to build the new pig house at Mvomero School for the Deaf, as well as a new classroom. Amazing!

It’s been two and a half years since I was l was there! Happily,  I will be going out to visit the Centre in Tanzania very soon.  I am hoping to do a couple of projects.  The first is to upgrade the physiotherapy equipment for the children in the Day Care Centre.  They need new soft plaly equipment indoors, as well as structures outside in the playground.  They also need medical equipment., such as walking aids..  The other project is to explore the viability of producing methane from the pig waste at the School, which could then be used for cooking.  Currently they are cooking using traditional methods, which uses wood.  Trees are becoming scarce and cooking in smoke is so unhealthy...

I do hope you  will continue your support..

Many thanks...
Barbara
