Story
Hugo my 5 year old golden retriever and I currently volunteer as a visiting friendship dog team and we know first hand what a difference we can make to the lives of the elderly. The smiles on peoples faces says it all and Hugo is just the best at his job he wears his red WAG bandana with pride and brings joy to the people we visit who love a cuddle and Hugo loves all the treats he gets. Walking for Wag enables isolated older people who can no longer have a dog of their own to have visits from their new Wag friends with two and with four legs. We visit thousands of people across the North East in care and medical establishments and 140 people on a 1:1 basis in their own homes, making the world of difference to how they feel about their lives.
