Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I'm running the 2023 Berlin Marathon, to support the work of the MS Society. Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable condition that affects your brain and spinal cord. In MS, the coating that protects your nerves (myelin) is damaged. This causes a range of symptoms like blurred vision and problems with how we move, think and feel.More than 130,000 people in the UK have MS. Once diagnosed, MS stays with you for life, but treatments and specialists can help you to manage the condition and its symptoms. The MS Society is here to help everyone live well with MS.Every year they reach thousands of people with help and support through their MS Helpline and local groups. They campaign on the issues that matter most to the MS community. And they invest in ground-breaking research to stop MS in its tracks.Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.
Personally my dear friend Wendy fights the fight every day with this blasted disease. There are others in my (and our) lives as well. Fellow athletes, sisters, mothers, friends and more. Professionally I have worked with many people with MS. While I have witnessed many advances - so much more needs to be done. Please give whatever you can spare.
Thank you
