As many of you may know, I am a past Board Chair and current member of the AC4Ed Board of Directors.  I I support Alliance Center for Education's important work improving the educational outcomes for children from low-income families living here in Mecklenburg County.  

We know that Charlotte's educational issues are complicated, but AC4Ed's experience in working through these issues, especially for low-income families, is transforming the lives of the kids they serve. AC4Ed uses individualized teaching strategies & implements supports that matter, to more fully engage over 800 children and their families in the education process each day. They start with education programs for soon-to-be-mom's, infants, toddlers, preschoolers and complete the process with out of school time programs for kids enrolled in grades K-12.
