The Cardinal Hume Centre supports homeless young people, badly housed families and people from the local community with little or no income. We aim to give people the skills, tools and confidence to break out of poverty and build better lives. People matter.Your support will make a difference.

Story

On 30th May, 14 intrepid Barbican Insurance Group staff members  Abbie Graham, Alex Williams-Yeager, Andrea Dobbing, Austyn Tusler, Brynja Broadley, Carla Wise, Emily Wint, James Cavell, Louis Digance, Pamela Smillie, Patrick Palmer, Roland Hill, Steve Green and Stuart Danskin) will set off up Ben Nevis (1344m), before tackling Scafell Pike (978m) and finishing by climbing Snowdon (1085m).

We are hoping to raise funds and awareness for The Cardinal Hume Centre, which helps give homeless young people, families in need and local people the skills to overcome poverty and homelessness. The Centre has also set up the ‘Supporting the Homeless Education and Training Provision’ in partnership with City of Westminster College, offering training in areas such as IT and catering and support with life skills such as literacy and budgeting.
