BARK Appeal · 26 April 2016

We are a registered charity formed in 2009 working in England and Wales to rescue stray, abandoned and unwanted Staffordshire bull terriers and related cross breeds, giving them all the care they need until they have can be rehomed. We have a non-destruction policy and an active rehoming procedure.

Story

Thank you for visiting the official Happy Staffie Rescue Justgiving page for our BARK Appeal.

We are embarking on our most ambitious project yet - to acquire and operate our own rescue centre. There are a number of ways to do this but the most straightforward is to acquire a boarding kennel and change this into a rescue centre.

Our research indicates we could need up to £600,000 to do this, but we are aiming to raise £150,000 as a deposit for a commercial mortgage on the balance.

The BARK Appeal is a restricted fund, where all donations given to it will only be used for the purpose of acquiring our own rescue centre, whether this is building a purpose-built site, or acquiring an existing property to be converted into a rescue centre, and operating the centre.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.  Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity within 28 days.

Thank you for your support, and helping to raise funds to acquire and operate a rescue centre for stray, abandoned and unwanted dogs.
