Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
The BUPA Great North Run 2012 was another remarkable success for the Barker and Stonehouse team; all runners made it over the finishing line and helped to raise the magnificent amount of £10,000 for the North of England Children’s Cancer Research Fund.
Thanks to you all, this money is being used to fund research into the causes and treatment of childhood cancer at the Children’s Cancer Unit of the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne. The Unit was created with NECCR funding and the charity is proud of the fact that they have the strongest team in Europe working in this vital field of research. To-date we have raised in excess of £110,000 and it continues to be a charity we feel very strongly about as a child of a member of Barker & Stonehouse staff was successfully treated here.
We appreciate that you will be bombarded daily, with requests for help from lots of organisations and I do know how generous you have been in the past, but I am once again shamelessly asking you to sponsor the 2013 Barker and Stonehouse team (which includes all the board of Barker and Stonehouse – except our Chairman! - plus 25 other runners from all branches).
Please support us in our fund raising efforts by sponsoring the team for whatever amount you feel appropriate. No matter how small – all pledges will be gratefully received.
