CFC provide a unique and highly effective way of helping children and young people with cancer through activity and exercise. Roughly 2,400 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer every year in the UK, and CFC are passionate about helping all these families along this difficult journey. We do this by giving new lightweight bikes, specially adapted trikes, other equipment and support to aid these children in their recovery; improving their physical fitness, strength, mental wellness, confidence, self esteem as well as giving them a much-needed opportunity to have fun with family and friends. The average cost of a bike/trike that we award costs £500 and they range from a trailer/tag-along to a balance bike and a lightweight bike to a fully customised trike. Since the charity began in 2005 we have helped over 7,000 families and we can only continue to help those that really need it with the support of our amazing fundraisers, so thank you!
