Special Appeal – can you help gorgeous Garfield
By
Barnstaple Cats Protection Branch
7-year-old Garfield came to Cats Protection just before Christmas.
Poor Garfield was bleeding from his right ear and was obviously very
uncomfortable. He had a bad ear infection but the news got
worse: he also had a large non-cancerous tumour deep in his ear
canal. This needed to be removed which involved a long operation
resulting in the removal of the entire outer and inner ear canal. The
risk of complication was high and his future was far from assured.
Fortunately, thanks to Market Vets Barnstaple, the operation went
well and, typical of Garfield, he only stopped purring when he was under
general anaesthetic! We are delighted that Garfield is recovering
well but we still need your help.
How you can help:
Please
help us raise £500 to pay for Garfield's operation. A donation, big or
small, will make all the difference. If we are fortunate to raise over £500 all the surplus will go towards treating other cats and kittens in our care at the Barnstaple branch.
Garfield
will shortly be looking for a new home. Can you offer Garfield the
loving home he deserves? Garfield is a very friendly lap cat and purrs a lot!. Garfield would like a home with a garden and would like to be the only pet. If you can offer Garfield a home please contact our Rehoming Officer on telephone number 0345 3714 203.
