Betty Stogs is Challenging other Sea Shanty Groups to try and beat her Fundraising efforts for the RNLI leading up to this years Falmouth Virtual Sea Shanty Event

Story

The Sea Shanty Festival is the highlight of the year for many groups both local and from afar.  Old friends meet up and new friends are made whilst sharing a song, a pint of Betty Stogs or a pasty.  No matter what the weather, a great time is had by all whilst raising much needed funds for a very worthwhile organisation.

As with all organisations, Covid has had an affect on both the festival, its organisers and participants who will all be two years older when they next meet.  It has also had an affect on the fundraising efforts of the RNLI.

As participants of the Virtual Shanty Festival 2021 and a group that enjoys singing shanties and other songs, Barrett's Privateers are asking  you to donate whatever you feel able, to support this cause and a Festival which people of all ages love to attend.

Whilst Betty may have mothballed her collection bucket, she has decided to challenge all the Sea Shanty Groups to try and beat her fundraising by setting up their own JustGiving pages to raise as much as we can for the RNLI.  Betty's personal target is to raise £1,000 can we beat her target?  It doesn't matter.  Whatever we raise, every penny counts!

The winner will be announced during this years Falmouth Virtual Sea Shanty Event on Saturday 19 June and your donation will help the RNLI to continue to save lives.
