BIRDSHOT arcelormital orbital abseil · 17 September 2017

Birdshot Uveitis Society is a charity & support group that offers advice & information to people affected with the potentially blinding, rare eye condition known as Birdshot Uveitis. Currently there is no cure, so we also raise funds to improve treatment and also increase public awareness.

Story

Thanks for looking at our page.   On the 17th of September we,  Annie Folkard, (founder of the Birdshot Uveitis Society) and myself, Barrie Standish,  will be abseiling off the arcelormital orbital at the Olympic Park in Stratford, London.

The Birdshot Society have made huge strides in helping fund research and give people better information on this very rare, potentially blinding,  form of uveitis.   We rely totally, on the good will of people who kindly donate to our cause.

We are doing this abseil in partnership with Moorfields Eye Charity.

Hopefully one day researchers and scientists will find the key to stopping this rare eye condition,  which in turn will help others who are unlucky enough to get posterior uveitis in any form.

With grateful thanks
Annie and Barrie
