Hello all, 

If you have made it this far then congratulations! you will be surprised how many tight arse's will not. For those of you that have not gathered it yet, on June 11th myself and some of my discerned colleagues from Norbury Fire Station will be Joining forces with the London Ambulance Service to throw ourselves out of a plane, all in the name of charity. 

We would all be very very grateful if you could find it within your hearts to dig deep and contribute whatever you can afford to help keep these two amazing charities running so they can keep up the fantastic work they do.

I really do mean whatever you can afford, even if it is just £1.

We have each paid £175 out of our own pockets to take part in this very worthy cause so really any donation no matter how large or small means so so much. The way I see it, if everyone I send this link to in my friends list on Facebook were to donate a quid then we could raise £313 for the charities, which is a very respectable amount. In reality I know this will not happen. As always some people are going to give more and some people are going to give less or simply nothing at all but the theory is a good one. An added bonus is that we can claim Gift Aid for anything that is donated.

 What this means is, for every £1 that is donated the charity can claim back an extra 25p from the treasury and it does not cost you an extra bean. So for every £1 you donate your actually donating £1.25, how good is that? these politicians have been bleeding us dry for long enough so its about time we clawed some of it back and maybe stop a few of them from cleaning their moats for a while with our money. 

Anyway, the two charities are: 'The Rainbow Trust' which is a charity for terminally ill children http://www.rainbowtrust.org.uk/

and 'Magical Taxi Tour' which gives sick children a break from their world of treatment and therapy by going on the trip of a lifetime to Disneyland Resort Paris in a convoy of London Taxi's and  London Ambulances.      http://www.magicaltaxitour.com/da/90308
