Barry's Ride to the Alps · 22 September 2014

The MS Trust is a UK charity which is here to help everyone make sense of MS. We are here for everyone affected by MS, from the moment of diagnosis and throughout their journey. We're here today, tomorrow and every day after that.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This fund raising trip has been organised by my good friend Paul who works for Supertravel, and has been in planning for a few years now. I agreed to do the ride a couple of months back but have kept it quiet as was not sure I'd actually be physically up to the task.......but a half-page article about it went out in my local paper this week, so I guess it is now public and there is no turning back.

Those of you know me well may have noticed I've put on a fair bit of 'timber' over the past few years. Although I'd have once considered myself fairly fit, one of the main reasons for agreeing to do this was to drag myself back into some kind of shape.

Heading off from London on the 22nd September, it will take us 9 days, cycling 651 miles with 10,736 metres of climbing.

Monies raised will be split between Huck Cancer http://www.huckcancer.com/index.html and the MS Trust, http://www.mstrust.org.uk/

Both charities raise valuable funds to help people and to make lives better. Please give as generously as possible as Supertravel's parent company - The Lotus Group - have agreed to DOUBLE what we raise.

Keep in touch with whats going on....
