Story

As a Director of Montrose FC, I'm acutely aware that the broad range of services offered by the charitable arm of the Club, Montrose Community Trust (MCT) has rarely if ever, been as in demand as during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Before lockdown I used to spend 2 hours a day commuting so I've decided to put this 'spare' time to good use. I'm combining my new found passion for walking with a desire to raise as much money as I can for this excellent charity, which is headed up by my fellow MFC Director, Peter Davidson. The work that Peter and his team of volunteers do is truly remarkable.

I started on Saturday 20th June with a 10 mile walk and hope to complete my target of 500 miles in 80 days or less. As well as raising a few pounds for MCT, I hope to lose a few pounds personally!

Every £ donated will help improve the lives of the those in most need of support in and around Montrose. Follow my progress on twitter via @oneillbarry
