Velindre Cancer Charity helps deliver exceptional cancer services to over 1.7 million people across South East Wales. We help pave the way for a future with world-class, research-led treatments and supportive care that can change lives. Together, we will achieve Victory Over Cancer.

Story

The whole of Barry Rugby Club is coming together to raise money for Velindre Cancer Centre.

With this season's rugby coming to a premature end, each section of the club is going to Run, Walk or Cycle the distance of Route 66 - which is 2,448 miles!

There will be a race between the Senior vs Youth vs Junior sections to complete the distance quickest.

As (understandably) most fundraising is going to the NHS during the COVID-19 pandemic, we want to help Velindre at a time when it may be receiving less donations than usual.

Velindre is a brilliant charity close to our hearts as it has helped numerous members of the Club and their families in their fights against cancer.  All of the money raised will be donated to Velindre to raise funds and awareness, as it continues to do an amazing job in unprecedented times.

Anything you can contribute would be greatly appreciated!

Stay safe and take care,

From all at Barry RFC
