Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Friday 29th September 2023 a team from Abstruct Consulting will be taking on a 24hr endurance challenge.  We will be mixing it up with walkers, runners, cyclists and a support team battling to keep moving for 24hrs.  “Why would you do this crazy
challenge??” I hear you ask, well let me explain…….

In 2021, we lost a man dear to our hearts.  Barry Saunders was part of the furniture at Abstruct.  An excellent structural engineer, popular colleague and an adored family man.  Barry fought a battle with cancer which he eventually lost.

Barry lived out his last days in a comfortable and dignified way thanks to the amazing nurses at the cottage Hospice in the Weald.  This wonderful facility located in Five Ashes, East Sussex offers patients and their entire families a quiet and relaxing solitude
where they can receive the very best in end-of-life care surrounded by their families.  They provide a network of highly trained nurses and staff who offer vital support at such a difficult time in the families journey.

The team at Abstruct would like to say “Thank you!” to the staff at the Hospice in the Weald and have decided to support the charity through this fundraiser…. in Barry’s memory.

We hope you can help us raise funds for the Hospice in order that they can give the same care and support to other families in the future.

We thank you so much,

Team Abstruct.
