Story

Dear friends,
It has been a while since I ran the marathon in Budapest. And tomorrow I am flying back to Stellenbosch, South Africa to study there for 2 years. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for being so generous and digging so deep in your wallets. When I started fundraising for Children of Fire (Place OfMiracles) I did not, by any chance, hope that I would raise the amount of money that I eventually did. I feel very happy and well-supported because of all the donations and supportive messages that I have received in the past months. The amount money raised is very usefull. I have been a witness of the bullshit that charities get donated, but with money charities are able to do what they are meant to do. Thanks so much for that, and of course, I will keep you updated.
See you all next year.
Cheers and all the best!

--------------

Thanks for visiting my page! 7 Oktober I am running a marathon in Budapest, and I hope to raise both awareness and money for the 'forgotten ones'.

I believe everyone has the right to education. Disfigurement and disablement, such as blindness, should not play a limiting factor.

Children of Fire has a school that gives injured and blind children the chance to education that they deserve. In the meantime, the children are also provided with the (medical) care that they need. However, the charity does not receive governmental funds and rely on public donations.

I will visit the school in South Africa in december, and some financial help would give the school a boost for the new year. Are you willing the help the most vulnerable?
