Hi! My name is Ashley. My roller skating career kicked off back in 2008. I played roller derby, won a couple national titles and have been park skating since. In the recent years I’ve opened a skate shop with my fiancé and became a certified roller skate instructor. Roller skating is my passion! And teaching anyone who is interested is what I love to do! But there is so much more to just roller skating. It’s a way of life. A way to relax, to destress and to learn who you are. Teaching roller skating to others is what makes me tick, It lights my fire! and I have a chance to go teach Syrian refugees this way of life.

Along with learning to skate refugees will work on communication, strengthen self confidence and self worth. We will be helping children who’s lives are affected by displacement and poverty. This is something that Salam UK and Free Border Skate strive to do and have been for some time now. 

Now, this is where I need your help!! I am raising funds to get to get to Lebanon!  All funds raised will be to get myself and the other volunteers there! Any amount will help! Please consider us when thinking of donating to anything.
