London to Brighton Bike Ride June 2022 · 19 June 2022 ·

Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

Thanks for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation and I'd be so grateful for your support.

I have worked for the BHF since 2012 and it has always been an important cause to me.

It became even more personal for me in November 2016 when I lost my amazing stepdad after he went into hospital for major heart surgery and never came back home to us.

This has fuelled my drive to raise as much as I can for this amazing cause, and 2022 will be my 10th London to Brighton bike ride and I will also be doing the London Marathon in October 2022.

The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people like Chris, my stepdad, lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thanks!
