Story

We're taking part in ellenor's Ride Local Challenge to raise money for the ellenor hospice who care and support families facing terminal illness in Kent.

Covid-19 has had a significant impact on ellenor's fundraising and we're delighted to be able to help with this.

For the Baxall Challenge we have not one, not two but three different bike rides for our staff to participate in, with some staff members doing more than the one ride!

The first is a 45 Mile Off Road Ride on 11th September, which will begin and end at our office in Paddock Wood with a ride across the Kent countryside with difficult terrain, lots of hills and stunning views!

The second is the 100 Mile Road Ride on Sunday 27th September, which is certainly not for the faint hearted! This also begins and ends at our office in Paddock Wood and heads northwards over the North Kent hills, fish and chips in Whitstable and back over the hills again for a well-deserved afternoon/evening tea in Paddock Wood!

The third is the 16 Mile Social Ride on Sunday 27th September for the more occasional riders and will follow an off road trail around Bewl Water. Stopping for a picnic en route which will give us the opportunity to check on our colleagues on the 100 Mile Ride.

We understand it has been and still remains a tough time for everyone but any sponsorship/donations, however big or small, will be greatly appreciated by ellenor and all of the Baxall Riders.

Good luck to those participating and thank you all for your support.

Thank you.

A little from ellenor themselves:

ellenor needs you... The outbreak of COVID-19 is going to have a significant impact on our income, and we have decided to put many of our traditional fundraising methods on hold to protect our community, our staff, patients and their families. As a charity we rely on you, our local community, to keep our services going and need your support more than ever to see us through this challenging period. It is crucial that we can continue providing care and support to patients and families facing terminal illness. These are uncertain times for us all but please be assured that all donations will be put to the very best use. Thank you to you all, we truly couldn't do what we do without you.
