Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I had a major (Brain Attack) Stroke in 1992.  Without too much details, which may bore you all, but I will say a few things.  All of my right-side was dead, couldn’t speak nor see properly,.  I knew what I wanted say,  however nothing came out.  I was in a wheelchair for months, tried to do harm to myself, twice! But failed, dismally.  First time, I was saved…………. Second, well I don’t really wish to talk about that time….

I remember seeing, (well trying to physically see) & he said to me, ‘Your right-handed, I answered with a splutter of saliva & grunts, and he finished the sentence ‘I would advise you to learn to right with your left hand’. I went ballistic (with in my head), tears rolling down my face.  I thought “Hell no, I am not doing that”. Oh there is nothing wrong with a lefty, just happened’s I am a righty…. :)

Once I got over feeling extremely sorry for myself, I decided to put my personal training (gym) to use on myself.  For years I trained very hard, meticulously.
