The Andrew Grene Foundation (AGF) is a charity dedicated to supporting Haitian people through education, loans and building projects. Our work is dedicated to the memory of Andrew Grene, a UN worker and one of the many thousands of people who died in the Haiti earthquake of 12 January 2010.

Story

Hi all, after a good few years of thinking it may be quite fun to do, I've finally taken the plunge and entered the 2023 Edinburgh Marathon.

Some of you may know that I'm hardly averse to a long run but this is beyond anything I've done so far. It would therefore be rude not to try and raise some cash for the Andrew Grene Foundation.

This is a charity based in Haiti (one of the world's poorer and more unstable countries) dedicated to Andrew Grene, a UN worker killed in the 2010 earthquake. Their work involves running a school in one of the country's poorest neighbourhoods and encouraging small businesses to grow through microfinancing. This work is incredibly important - especially as the country suffered yet another deadly earthquake in 2021, from which it is still recovering.

So here we go - please donate so that all the pain I'll no doubt experience on the 28th May 2023 isn't for nothing.
