Our team is raising money for the British Heart Foundation by running the Great North Run in memory of our dear friend and colleague, Drew Halliday, who tragically passed away on the 8th October 2021. Drew was the most down-to-earth and welcoming person, who always had a smile and joke ready for anyone he met. Drew was a lifelong Hearts fan, and loved his WWE Wrestling nearly as much as a pint of Tennents. Devastatingly, Drew suffered a fatal heart attack, leaving behind his wife, Sarah, and two daughters, Rose and Lexi. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help us hit our target.
