Group B Strep is the leading cause of severe infection in newborn babies including sepsis, meningitis and pneumonia. Charity Group B Strep Support provides support for families, improves awareness, educates health professionals and campaigns for better prevention.

Story

Well, we did it, and despite the hills, the pain and the body odour we also enjoyed our 232 mile cycle across Argyll.  Thank you to everyone who has donated so far and to all those just about to.

Group B Streptococcus is the UK's most common cause of life-threatening infection in newborn babies and of meningitis in babies under age 3 months. On average in the UK - one baby a day develops group B Strep infection- one baby a week dies from group B Strep infection- one baby a fortnight who survives their group B Strep infection is left with long-term disabilityYet most group B Strep infections are preventable. Group B Strep Support informs families & health professionals about group B Strep to save tiny lives.
