BDK 24 hour Arkham Knight stream · 23 June 2015

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.

Story

Hey guys, thanks for visiting my JustGiving page!

I'm Laura-Rose, though a lot of people may know me as BatsDontKill. I'm a huge Nightwing and Robin fan and I -like many others- am super stoked for Arkham Knight.

I've recently got into streaming games live online with my Playstation 4 and their helpful share system, so I thought, when Arkham Knight comes out why not stream that?

Which of course got me thinking... I recently streamed Destiny for 10 hours straight when the House of Wolves expansion came out which was really fun, and so I thought what if I challenged myself to staying up for 24 hours and spend it streaming Arkham Knight? And what if I raised money for Charity in the process?

Last year for Batman's 75th anniversary I helped organise a 'Batman Day' with Joe (@LadyBatman1939) that helped raise over £2000 for our local Children's hopsital which was super awesome to be able to do something about a universe I love but also give back to the one I live in too with the help of hundreds of generous people.

Of course this won't raise anything near the amount that we raised last year but me and Joe are going to give it another go! So, that's the plan, and what better cause than to help raise money for a Children's hospital in the process?

It won't be a expert stream, in fact I'll probably be one of the most appauling gamers people have ever seen as I haven't played any of the Arkham games since Arkham City was released and even then it was on my Xbox. But I think that will also add to the hilarity and the entertainment of the whole thing.

The stream will be live on Twitch (http://www.twitch.tv/batsdontkill/profile) but I'm also going to be archiving it on there and then will think about saving the videos to later upload to YouTube for people to laugh at after they've played the game themselves as I'm sure there are many people who won't want the spoilers.

Also as I'm lucky enough to work in my local Comic Book store I'm planning a small giveaway of some Batman and Arkham Knight goodies that will take place in the wee hours just to give the stream some life when I start almost falling asleep haha.

But yeah, thank you again for visiting my page and for looking into my fundraising idea. And also MASSIVE thanks if you make a donation, and remember... #BeTheBatman.
