Beach Charity 2020

Beach Charity 2020 · 9 January 2020
James' Place is Beach's chosen charity for 2020. The charity
operates a centre to provide a service to men in suicidal crisis. Running on a referral basis only - visitors have an initial appointment to ascertain the treatment required and are then offered a tailored service of free one-to-one therapeutic support during their time of need.
In the UK, 84 people die from suicide every week, of which 75% are men. Suicide is the leading cause of death among young people in the UK. In more relative terms, in the UK one person takes their own life every two hours.
People of any age, nationality, sex, or demographic can be affected by depression. Without the right support network, or help available, it can be the loneliest & hardest of battles to fight.
The Beach team will be arranging a host of fundraising events to help raise both awareness and funding. All funds raised will be in helping Jame's Place open their second centre in East London.
We appreciate all donations, no matter how small as we try to open up the discussion around male mental health.
Good Luck team!
