People start running for many reasons – fitness, weight loss, qualifying for Boston, in my case, to completely change my life. Join me as we journey together in finding why running change my life.
As an athlete, blogger, and coach I try to inspired people around the world with my open and honest discussion of panic, anxiety, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Having suffered with OCD throughout my life, I first got into running after trying everything else. From diets to conventional medicines, nothing seemed to be any help. I had hit rock bottom when I decided to give running a try. On the verge of suicide, I found himself on a new adventure. Setting goals for myself and escaping from the struggle that had become my everyday life, I dove headlong into the sport and never looked back.
After eight years, I have run more than forty half marathons, five full marathons, and many 5Ks and 10Ks. I find deep joy in running, and along the way, I've made some lifelong friends.
Every time I put on my running shoes, I know that I'm having fun but also that I'm fighting a battle.
Anxiety is a battle that I'm is willing to fight! #beatnanxiety #endthestigma
