For many years as a family, we have discussed the dwindling presence of real Christmas themed songs that reach number one at Christmas time. We always said we should give it a go ourselves to kick some festivity back in to the charts in December!

With Dad (Terry!) turning 60 this year he started creating a list of new experiences he'd like to achieve across his big '0' year, and we suggested a Christmas song should feature as one of them....

Then it all began... with additional family and friends agreeing to get involved, we decided to make it happen!

With so many of our lives touched by the painful experiences of cancer and friends and family currently going through the difficult times as I write, we thought what better than to dedicate our Christmas song challenge to them and try and raise some money. 

We are not singers, in fact many of us cannot string a note, (and are fully prepared to embarrass and potentially publicly humiliate ourselves in the process), but that's not what this is about - we don't expect Simon Cowells approval on this one! It's about creating something fun to make people smile over the festive period, and to help save lives so more and more people can live to enjoy the rest of their lives cancer free and see in many more Christmases!!!
