Story

August 10th

'@Molljacobs19 has sent you @AmyHughes53 story on Instagram'

"Shall we..."

Becd92: "Why the hell not"...

And that's how an innocent message with no real weight behind it turned into 2 very leisurely runners 'putting their big girl pants on' and attempting to run their first marathon with only 7 weeks to prepare!! (Not sure whether to laugh or cry now I've typed that out). After letting it sink in/pretending we never said we'd do it for a week, we committed and decided that we'd like to take the opportunity to raise some money for charity.

Francis House is based where we live in Didsbury. The team there tirelessly cares for the most vulnerable children, young people and their families through a time no one should have to go through.

As the world deals with the continuing impact of coronavirus, Francis House has continued to provide care but have incurred extra costs in order to protect their dedicated staff. Alongside this, fundraising staff have been furloughed and events have been cancelled for the foreseeable future. This means they are facing a shortfall of 250,000 pounds.

We would really appreciate your help, motivation, tips and donations.
26.2 miles is a reallyyyy long way...
