Anyone who knows me, knows I love to run. So, (perhaps unwisely - I am laughing at myself in this picture) I have signed up to run two marathons within 8 days starting with the London Marathon on the 3rd October (and then Manchester Marathon 10th October) all in aid of raising money for the wonderful charity Coram's Fields. Please read below and support them (and my stupidity) generously!!!

Those of you that know me, know I run a lot. Part of that is for exercise. A lot of it is to keep me in good mental health. And even more of that is that I love being outdoors. I appreciate the benefits of being outside for my own wellbeing and think it is an important part of everyones wellbeing.

Coram's Fields is a children's charity that serves as a safe place for all children to come and play, offering safe access to outdoor space for young people in central London. As well as a seven-acre park and playground (including an exciting mix of accessible play equipment) situated in Bloomsbury, they have an after school and holiday programme; a sports development programme for all children up to aged16; a youth centre for 13-19 year olds and a nursery and under 5s drop in.

Spending time outdoors is incredibly important to everyones well-being. It has become particularly so over the last year. But finding somewhere safe to run and play for young people can be tricky for some London communities. 

I first had the opportunity to visit Coram's Fields with my rugby club, Belsize Park. We understand the importance of spaces and charities such as Coram's Fields and we are fortunate enough to play on their pitches and are pleased to be able to support Coram's Fields in that way.

It is an incredible privilege to be able to run the London Marathon for Coram's Fields. The more money I raise, the better I will feel about the silly decision to run 2 MARATHONS WITHIN 8 DAYS....
