Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune condition that affects around 400,000 people in the UK. Around 29,000 of these are children.
JDRF fund research that will cure, prevent and treat type 1 diabetes, alongside providing support and hope to those living with type 1 diabetes and their families.
I am running the London Marathon for JDRF UK a charity close to my heart as my close friend Corey and members of my family are Type 1 diabetes sufferers. I want to help contribute towards the cost of vital research, show my support for those living with this undiscriminating disease and build on the exception fundraising already undertaken by Corey who is an inspirational advocate for JDRF, having lived with T1D for over 5 years.
This will be my first marathon and I'm ready for the challenge, so please give as generously as possible and help create a world without T1D. All fundraising is greatly appreciated and really will help spur me on over the 26.2miles.
