Story
In a nutshell....
A childhood friend of mine passed away from a Brain Tumor at only 31 in April of 2014. We hadn't seen each other for a few years - beacuse you think you have all the time in the world - but had arranged to meet before Christmas of 2013 but had not been able to meet up as planned, due to my daughter being in hospital and Anna being unwell. Anna passed away just a few months later.
It seemed a fitting tribute to swim the distance from my house to hers as a last journey as Anna loved the water. Hence the 374 miles!!! Made only more complicated by the fact i could only doggy paddle my way through a couple of lengths when i started!!!
Brain Tumors take more lives than any other cancer in under 40s and honestly one of the most incredible smiley people I have ever met. This target will fund a days research into the causes and treatment of Brain Tumors.
