If we haven’t met in real life yet, hello! I’m Beccy and I’m the least likely marathon runner! I’m chubby, clumsy and a tad lazy!! But when you have a reason bigger than you anything is possible.

I’m running in memory of all of my maternal family. My Grandparents Albert and Margaret-Rose Codona were true legends. In their day they were the life and soul of the party, business people with an oil company , video shop and many shops.

They always had time for people and cared about the world around them. I was lucky enough to live with them from 14 and truly they brought me up, all I am I owe to them.

Sadly we lost my Step Dad and Mum within 3 years and all of my family within 6 years.

All that’s left on my Mums side is me and my darling daughters Hannah and Olivia. I’m determined to show them that all this pain can be turned into power.

Every penny I raise will help Havens to help other families like ours. I hope your family never needs these services but if you do they care to a level that is unimaginable. They checked on our whole family when my Grandad was in his final days. We truly could t have kept him home without them.

My gratitude is unlimited and I will run for as long and my body will carry me.

Not to mention London and I have unfinished business! This time I get that medal!!

Every £ really does make a difference to the hospice and to my motivation to train for a whole year for this.
