Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have decided to take on the National Three Peak Challenge on the 23rd July to raise money for Rosemere Cancer Foundation. The centre provides outstanding care and innovative treatment for local cancer patients across Lancashire and South Cumbria.
The Rosemere Cancer Centre is close to my heart, as it is where my mum attends monthly for her cancer treatment and checkups. As some of you may be aware my mum, Stephanie Ashworth, was diagnosed with an incurable form of cancer back in 2019 and has been undergoing treatment ever since to manage the tumour growth. The Rosemere Centre along with all the doctors and nurses there have been amazing in monitoring, supporting and providing treatment for my mum and my family going through this difficult time.
My cousin, Tom Schofield and boyfriend, Josh Hutchby are accompanying me during my challenge. It involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales, within 24 hours. The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft) - driving time (462 miles) is also included within the 24 hour time limit, so it is a huge challenge!
Anyone who knows me well knows my love for the outdoors and hiking, however this is a challenge even for the most outdoorsy person. It would mean so much to me, my family, and many others out there, if you could support this challenge. No matter how little your donation, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you are unable to donate, it would be great if you could share this page or spread the word.
