Story
My story
I have been in and out of running most of my life, it is something I enjoy and it certainly challenges my body and mind. I’ve completed Westminster Mile, 5k, 10K runs, Wolf runs, local park runs and my biggest distance being a half Marathon was at Silverstone circuit. Since running at school sports days, the London Marathon has always been on my bucket list. I’ve applied for a place for so many years and next year is my year - Woohooooo!!!!
Majority of my charity fundraising has been for Make-A-Wish® UK so this is a great opportunity to contribute to such a worthwhile charity and continue to help grant wishes.
Any donations are welcome - Every little helps!
The event.
In April 2024 I will be donning on my trainers and cape to take on the 26.2 miles of the London Marathon! The iconic Marathon will be a real life time challenge however I’ll be running for wishes ❣️
About the Charity
Make-A-Wish® UK are an amazing charity that creates life-changing wishes that revive the childhood that critical illness takes away. They have been granting children between 2½ and 18 years who are fighting life-threatening conditions since 1986. These wishes aim to enrich the children's lives and give them and their families to have time away from their daily struggles of living with a serious condition. They range from being a director for a day, to go-karting to becoming a superhero. They have created memories that these families can treasure through the tough times.
But right now, there are 60,000 children in the UK living with a critical condition, and they don’t have the resources. Your generous support will help them step closer to achieving their vision: to grant a wish to every eligible child. Together, we have the power to light up the darkness.
