I’m running the EMF 2026 10K in support of the charity Held In Our Hearts and in memory of our baby girl, Robin, who we lost in 2023.

There aren’t really any words that can describe the heartbreak of losing Robin, our second baby who we were so excited to meet. Although she didn’t get to have the life she should have had, she will always be part of our family and her impact on our lives is something we’ll carry with us forever.

In the months after we lost Robin we were supported by the amazing charity Held In Our Hearts, who provide bereavement support for families who have experienced the loss of a baby. Their peer-support and counselling helped me through the most difficult and isolating time, and I’m so grateful that this support was open to us. I’m running to raise money to help ensure other families who have experienced this devastating loss will be able to access the same care and support.

I’m definitely not a natural runner and I’ve never done anything like a 10K run before, so this will be a huge personal challenge, but I’m motivated by the memory of Robin and the incredible work Held In Our Hearts do. If you’re able to donate any amount it would mean so much to me personally, and directly support the charity to continue to offer this vital service.
