I'm going on an adventure!

In December 2023, I turn 40, and as a way of celebrating this milestone, I will be taking on my biggest challenge yet...The Three Peaks Challenge.

This involves tackling the 3 highest peaks in England (Scafell Pike), Scotland (Ben Nevis) and Wales (Snowdon). Over 2 days, I'll be trekking around 26 miles and ascending a total height of almost 3,000m. 

1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem in any given year.

I've chosen to complete this epic challenge for Mind, a charity very close to my heart.

In the Summer of 2012, my best friend took her own life, and over the last 12 months, I have sought help with my own mental health.

Charities like Mind are invaluable for people seeking help with their own mental health as well as those looking to support loved ones.

As a keen walker, I've climbed Snowdon a few times, but I've never stepped foot on Scafell or Ben Nevis.

I will update my page with progress on my training as I go through the year, and if anyone would like to join me on a training walk, give me a shout, as needless to say, I'm going to need to get as much training in as possible over the coming months
