Alzheimer Scotland is the leading, national dementia charity in Scotland. Our mission is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide advice, information and support and we are here for people living with dementia, their families and carers across Scotland.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!!

I am doing a 6-day trek to the summit of Kilimanjaro in October for Alzheimer's Scotland. My great grandma Daisy sadly passed away last December and suffered slightly from dementia, which was hard to cope with at time. But their are families who have to rely on the help for Alzheimer's Scotland to help cope with everyday life which we all take for granted.

In 2013, there are an estimated 86,000 people in Scotland who live with dementia. The number of people with dementia is increasing, because the population is getting older. Based on the current dementia prevalence rates, the number of people who suffer with dementia is set to double within the next 25years.

The money which we help raise will provide a network of Dementia Advisors across Scotland, Dementia Nurses in every health board, 24hour helpline and Alzheimer Scotland's Dementia reseach centre.

Any donations, no matter how big or small will be greatly appreciated!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
