Thanks for supporting my fundraising. We all know someone affected by cancer. It has the power to change everything for someone in minutes. After working for Macmillan for the last 12 months, I have seen first hand the amazing support available to those living with the affects of cancer (and other life limiting illnesses). I know every corner of the globe has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and so many people are struggling with the aftermath it has caused. The last 12 months has been the worst time imaginable to be diagnosed with or live with cancer. The physical torment of treatment alongside isolation from family members, financial worries, physical changes, depression and anxiety, fear that your valuable time is being wasted - these are all daily experiences for most, if not all of the people I have met. I hope to be able to raise even just a small amount of money so that Macmillan can continue to provide support where it is needed most. It is a privilege to be welcomed in to the lives of those affected by cancer to gain a snapshot of their lives and be inspired by their resilience. Everyone throughout their lifetime will be affected by cancer in some way. I hope when that time comes you can depend on the services Macmillan provide to guide you through.
