Head shaving · 2 January 2020
So I have been thinking about this for a while And am finally brave enough to go Through with it . I’m going to be shaving my head for charity ... not a bob or a pixie cut but shaving my head completely ... all 13.5 Inches of it !! If I reach my target then I will be doing the shave on 02.01.20 ( I don’t trust anyone doing it on 01.01.20 with a New Years hangover ) I’m doing this to raise money for 2 different charities Macmillan and breast cancer now . I aim to raise 1k and to split this between the 2 . This year cancer has affected Me and the people around me massively .my dad was diagnosed with duodenal cancer in August and it has been a long hard journey for us all, to see someone who is so fit and healthy and an amazing dad to me and 3 sisters and a brother and an amazing grandad and great grandad go from that to losing 4 stone In a matter of months , being in hospital for 2 months and undergoing major surgery and not being Able To do much for himselfWhile he recovers and that’s all Before chemo Starts is the hardest thing We have been through not least for my dad (skinny as some of you know him As) . Also this year one of my closest and bestest friends ever has found Out her breast cancer is back and has also spread To her brain making It a secondary cancer . She is currently undergoing Chemo for this and the type she is having (carboplatin ) the research was funded by breast cancer now and this chemo could Stop disease progression by 6 months rather than 4 and that is something we deffo need moreResearch for . There’s still A Long journey for them both but their attitudes towards it inspires me . So please Give generously People To 2 worthy causes and 2 Stories that have made me realise thy life is short And friends and familyAre everything #fuckyoucancer
