In February 2012, someone very special to me lost their life, fighting for our country, in Afghanistan.

His death devastated all his family and friends and we are today still coming to terms with it and the fact we will never see his cheeky smile again.

He was only one of many not to come home, but those who did will need on-going help and support to re-adjust to life, post Afghanistan.

Help the Heroes were very supportive during the loss of Ryan and they continue to be to many others in similar situations and are a truly worthy cause.

In memory of the bravest person I know, I am going to be jumping out of an aeroplane at 10,000ft and I hope he will be flying with me.

His motto 'If your not living on the edge, your taking up too much space' - I will hopefully be living up to this.
