Story
On Sunday 9 June 2013 I will be taking part in an organised fundraising event which I am sure you’ve all heard of before called ‘Race for Life’. ‘Race for Life’ is an event created in order to raise money for Cancer Research UK. The event will involve a 5k (just over 3 miles) run.
I’ve been thinking about doing a fundraiser for a while now in memory of my granddad, Robert Anderson, who passed away last year after his battle against cancer.
Many people fight the battle against cancer everyday, all over the country. Cancer Research UK is there to help support cancer patients, their families, raise money for specialised equipments and much more.
Whether it’s only a small amount you donate, ‘pennies make pounds’ as they say and I’d really appreciate it. I’d like to aim to raise £300 – anything more and that would be great.
