We live in Minsk and through The Together Plan Charity we have come to learn more about the little known history of the Jewish people of Belarus. Over 100,000 Jewish people died in the Minsk Ghetto but this is history we knew little about. We have come to learn about the 'Making History Together' Holocaust Education Programme, created by The Together Plan which is teaching young people in the UK and in Minsk about this little known history. Our history. 

The students in Minsk who participated in the programme are learning to be craftsmen and have said that they want to design and build a bench out of metal, and have it installed in the Minsk Park that was once the Jewish cemetery. We want to try to raise the money that will make this a reality. The bench will be in the name of a Minsk Ghetto survivor and will be a place to come and sit and think about life.
