Thanks for visiting the Belhaven Hillwalk fundraising page.
This year we climbed Goat Fell, the highest peak on Arran at 874m (2867ft), on Sat. 6th of September. We started at sea level just outside Brodick castle and climbed up the east side of the mountain on to the ridge, then a scrambled up the crags to the top. All 16 walkers completed the walk, and a few brave souls carried on further along the spectacular ridge walks.
Our chosen charity for this years event is Little Hearts Matter, who have been a great support to Murray & Sasha Ratcliffe since their son Dylan was born and diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Dylan has recently undergone the final stage of three major operations, and is recovering well at home. Murray & Sasha will be climbing Goat fell on Sat. 20th Sept. as they arrived home with Dylan from Birmingham Children's Hospital too close to the original date.
