A registered charity in the U.S., The SUDC Foundation is the only one of its kind, dedicated solely to supporting families and professionals worldwide who have been affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child, through increased awareness, funding research, and advocating for their needs.

Story

On Sunday, 18th of March, Gordon and I will be running the Hastings Half Marathon in memory of our dear friends' baby girl Autumn. Before Autumn suddenly passed away in her sleep this year, I had no idea something like this could happen to such a robust and healthy child of 14 months. But unfortunately it does occur, in 1 in every 100,000 children over 12 months old. These are strong and healthy kids well past the traditional period for the incidence of SIDS (cot/crib death). I am raising funds for the Sudden Unexpected Death in Childhood Foundation, in the hope that someday, with further research, this traumatic and devastating condition can be predicted and prevented.
