In October 2017 I will be travelling to Nepal with Raleigh International to support a Water, Sanitation and Hygiene programme in the district of Gorkha. Gorkha was one of the locations affected by the earthquake which occurred in 2015. Raleigh supports young people and rural communities in Gorkha to recover from the disaster and improve livelihoods for affected communities.

We will be living in and collaborating with local, rural communities that have been identified to require support in rehabilitating and reconstructing sanitation facilities. This involves implementing hand washing systems, awareness raising on the health benefits of sanitation and the setting up and training of water committees.
