Cardiff Half Marathon 2015 · 4 October 2015 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

I am taking part in the Cardiff half marathon on October 4th 2015 in memory of my dad, Will, who was diagnosed with early on-set Alzheimers at the age of 48. He battled bravely for 6 years untill he finally passed away at the age of 54. My dad was lucky to have some amazing people around him to help him as much as humanly possible throughout his illnes. Some people however aren't so fortunate.

I am running the half marathon in a bid to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society, and also to raise awareness of this punishing desease, and all forms of dementia, that affects thousands of families all over the UK.

Any donations will be greatly Appriciated.
