HomeServe Snowdon Summit Trek · 24 May 2013
Hi!
The company I work for; HomeServe, have recently achieved their target of donating a fantastic £1 million to Marie Curie Cancer Care and as part of our celebrations of reaching this summit, on 24 May 2013, employees are aiming to raise even more money for this fantastic charity by reaching a different kind of summit!
The “HomeServe Summit Trek” will see us (including me!) trek from HomeServe base camp to the summit of the highest mountain peak in England and Wales. With a final height of over 1,085 metres (3,500 feet), and a total distance of around ten miles, our day will involve 6-8 hours hiking (average: four hours ascent, 3 hours decent). As a team we are hoping to raise £20,000 and my personal target is to raise £200.
Marie Curie are a UK Charity dedicated to the care of people with terminal cancer and other illnesses. Best known for their network of 2,000 Nurses who work in the homes of terminally ill patients across the UK, providing practical care and support. They also have nine Marie Curie Hospices across the UK providing expert care and quality of life for people with cancer and other illnesses. To find out more about the great work they do take a look at: www.mariecurie.org.uk
If you’d like to support my efforts up Snowdon and help Marie Curie, please donate via this page.
All donations of any amount would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Ben.
