Denyigba Lorlor are planting trees in schools and households in the Keta Municipality, Ghana. They plant a mixture of native trees that provide numerous benefits to communities in Ghana. Can you work with us to increase tree cover in Ghana?

Story

Pounding the pavement and potentially doing irreversible damage to my bones in the Hackney Half Marathon to raise money for the amazing Dream Big Ghana Foundation and their Ghanaian partner NGO, Denyigba Lorlor.

They're an incredible NGO who are close to my heart and do great work out in the Volta region for the communities of Dzita & Dzita-Agbledomi, whether that be through educational initiatives, sports development, health and sanitation - it's all really inspiring to see.

With the help of their partner NGO Denyigba Lorlor they are planting trees in the Volta Region of Ghana that provide food, income, shade, cool the environment and educational opportunities for students.

Denyigba have planted over 11,000 trees to date, and are planting an additional 2500 in 2022. Any donation however big or small would be massively appreciated - it's going to a great cause!

As a little aside, as some of you will know back in 2017 I contracted an autoimmune disease that had me in hospital for a whole month, multiple surgeries, 7 months on crutches, endless drugs, treatments and I still have to take injections for it to this day. No joke, every time I run now I thank f*ck it’s being kept at bay, so running this half will be a special moment for me too.

Much love,

Ben x
